How were we taught about Israel? What did we learn—or not learn—about Palestine and Palestinians? What is the impact of these lessons on how we view the conflict in Israel and Palestine today?
Join us for a screening of Israelism, a thought-provoking documentary that delves into the U.S. Jewish education system’s portrayal of Israel. Through the personal journeys of two young Jews raised with an unquestioning love of Israel, the film explores their evolving perspectives as they confront Israel’s treatment of Palestinians.
Israelism invites us all to reflect on the formative experiences that shaped our views of Israel and Palestine, and how we, in turn, shape the next generation’s understanding.
After the screening, we will listen to our reflections.
