Seventy-five years after independence, 50 years after the Yom Kippur War, and 30 years after the signing of the Oslo Accords, join us to hear the perspective of Nadav Tamir, a career diplomat, who will speak on the state of affairs in Israel today a the dangers and the opportunities that stand before the people of Israel in dealing with the far-right coalition government.

Nadav Tamir is the Executive Director of JStreet Israel and Advisor for International and Governmental Affairs at the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation.

Nadav became a career diplomat in 1993, during which time he served as Consul General of Israel to New England; Senior Policy Adviser to President Shimon Peres; Political Officer at the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C., and Advisor to the Director General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Nadav served as a policy assistant under three foreign ministers – Shimon Peres, Ehud Barak, and David Levy.

As a Wexner Fellow in 2004, Nadav earned his Masters in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He is on the steering committee of the Geneva Initiative and on the board of the Mitvim think tank for regional foreign policy.
